Before a hiring manager will say yes to hiring you, they need to understand why YOUR unique skills, experiences and perspective is the right fit for the job. Whose job is it to communicate that? Yours. That’s why understanding your triple threat is so important before you start networking, applying for a job and especially, interviewing. To convince a hiring manager that you’ll solve their problems faster and better than the candidate sitting next to you, you need to define why your past experience, skillset and ideas make you the top candidate. Once you’ve crafted your value proposition, then it’s time to practice. Flawless delivery is key here. The other reason why practicing your value proposition is so important is that you’ll begin to believe that what you bring to the table is pretty special. You’ll gain confidence and confidence is key for an interview.
